AMD claims their Ryzen 5 8600G includes AMD Ryzen AI, yet the setup guides don’t reference it. It seems the installation steps might be outdated or incomplete. You may need alternative ways to activate the AI features on your device. Despite the official mention, users are seeking confirmation on how to properly use the AI NPU in this model.

The 8600G includes an NPU, while the 8500G does not. It seems likely the installer mentioned you have PHX, which aligns with your Phoenix setup.

It's possible I'm misunderstanding, but the 8600G lacks an NPU yet still supports AI tasks through its iGPU.

I just discovered this review mentioning an NPU, though it doesn’t appear elsewhere. You mentioned it’s puzzling since you haven’t seen it before—have you come across any details about it? I’m planning to try PHX next.

Anandtech reviewed the 8600G/8700G CPUs and I’m fairly sure they’re accurate.

It includes an NPU, you just need to update Windows and it will show up. I’m not entirely sure about all the specific uses yet.
