Hey everyone, I've been using my PC about a year ago. Recently, my PSU has been making unusual sounds. It happens no matter what I'm doing—idle or gaming. It's more noticeable under heavy loads, but these clips show up even when idle on the desktop. The sound looks like a faint buzzing, and it gets louder when I switch between games. It isn't coming from the GPU coils, fans, or PSU fan. I found a video on YouTube that matches this noise: THIS IS NOT MY VID (link). The clips A and B seem to be the same thing.

And the PSU is a Corsair RM850 White from 2021 with a 7900 GRE GPU and a 7800x3D CPU.

Can you provide an additional power supply for testing?

It's tough to understand what sound you're referring to. If it's coil whine, then yes, this is typical for power supplies too.

It's wise to disconnect the GPU before starting if it's quite old and low-wattage.

Could possibly attempt to obtain a different audio or video file.

Shorten clips to key moments: one brief segment and another longer one, ending with a buzzing sound effect.

Thanks! Yes, I'll do it even though it's midnight in my area.

Everything seems fine, no urgent concerns. I’ll be back tomorrow too.
