For better understanding, Windows replaces the bootloader. If this occurs, your Linux system remains but won’t boot because the Windows bootloader isn’t compatible. To resolve it, start a live Linux environment, enter chroot into the existing Linux installation, and reset the bootloader. It may seem tricky at first, but after doing it once it’s much simpler.
