The noctua bracket performed well with the Eisbaer AIO, as it simply screws in without spacers—though this applies to both 1151 and 1700 boards alike. I didn’t test the actual 1700 secure2 bracket with the NH-D15 either.

Probably outdated parts were sent. I just got two NH-U12S from Amazon in Canada with LGA1700 hardware. If you're quick, you could order an MP-78 for $8US on Amazon—it's the right model for this part. The z-height changed (blue spacers instead of black), and the backplate and top plates now have two holes instead of three to fit the new socket mounts.
