I understand the USB 2.0 header is an 8-pin connector and HD Audio also uses 8 pins. Since I don’t use the audio interface and have a Kraken X62 to connect, I’m wondering if I can adapt the HD audio header as a pump power source for it. I’d rather avoid purchasing the NZXT USB 2.0 hub and would appreciate saving about $20.

They’re not compatible. USB 2.0 is just USB, while HD audio is sound, so using the wrong pins would damage the connectors.
