I was trying to increase the RAM in my computer, but from what I found, my motherboard might not support more than one memory stick at a time. It’s currently using two sticks totaling 16GB. I’m planning to upgrade to 32GB because it’s needed for a project. I’m using a Ryzen 5 3600X.

It features four available slots. All can be utilized simultaneously.

It seems you believed the motherboard would work, but evidence suggests it doesn’t support quad channel memory. Consider checking compatibility before proceeding.

Memory setup uses four sticks instead of a single unit. If your new RAM meets the requirements, it will work in dual-channel mode with two sticks per channel.

Bondiblue is accurate. I've utilized this board in numerous budget-focused office projects, allowing clients to seamlessly upgrade memory or engage me for additional upgrades without needing to swap out two sticks.

You're asking whether upgrading to a faster memory stick will actually help, and you're considering replacing your 3200MHz RAM with a 3600MHz one. This setup should work if the new stick is compatible with your system. Just make sure the motherboard supports the higher speed and that the installation follows proper guidelines. Let me know if you need setup tips!

Upgrading to higher clocked RAM will automatically slow it down to align with the slowest components in your system. Adding faster RAM won’t be an issue—it will provide the extra capacity you require. The speed will simply match the slower parts. A 3200MHz rate remains adequate.

I eliminate all RAM modules and install faster memory. The process involves working with your CPU's internal components or updating its firmware. Please consult your system documentation for specific steps.
