Purchased a fresh motherboard (Gigabyte A320M S2H v1.2) and the BIOS version listed is F55, which matches their site as compatible with the 5000 series. My updated 5600 should work fine. New motherboards usually come with their BIOS already updated.

You just received a brand new board, or someone refreshed the bios before it arrived. It's not the newest version, F56a is the current one, but F55 meets the basic requirements.

Sure, I'm okay with F55. I don't think I'm very lucky—if I try to update the BIOS, the power might drop or a meteorite could hit our house. Plus, it's storm season, and the power isn't very reliable here. Cheers!
