I considered a b550m A-Pro without the VRM heatsink and a budget Aliexpress board. I thought it might be a tough ask, but I ended up choosing it. It's mainly for gaming and streaming with my RTX 3070 using nvenc, DS3H, and 5600X. Compared to my old build, the new components would add only about $30 more, and I'd see a noticeable boost in FPS at 1080p 144Hz. I was thinking about keeping the b450 gaming plus max, but the upcoming PCIe 4.0 consoles could be really appealing. I might upgrade to a second M.2 later if needed.

The 5600x works well with the B550 DS3H and even the most affordable B550 boards because it draws only about 50-55A at stock.

It works well for 5600x yes. Output likely exceeds 50A, especially with a stock cooler as it’s “downcraft” and also handles VRMs effectively.

I made a mistake, I fixed it although I'm considering DS3H as well which will cost $15 more and there's also B550M Bazooka on sale that will cost additional $20, it's down to if I'll be able to OC my e-die Crucials from 3200 to 3600 on either these boards, I know there's no problems on MSI boards, not sure about Gigabyte.
