It’s a bit confusing. My laptop (Dell XPS OLED 2019) stopped working suddenly after a month, especially while playing Rocket League. At first it happened only during games, then it started affecting normal use too. Eventually it wouldn’t turn on at all. Sometimes it would power on briefly but shut down after a few minutes. I ran some diagnostics and found the battery was deteriorating, which matched what I already suspected. I also had past problems with the power plug and thought a CMOS failure might be the cause. But now I’m unsure—could it be the SSD? The disk drive status shows OK, so maybe the graphics card is still working. I tried updating to Windows 11 and playing Rocket League again, but it shut down after about an hour. I’m not sure if the issue is with the SSD or something else.

Explore the Windows Event Log for valuable insights. Failing drives are common causes, yet inconsistent overclocking or insufficient PSU power can also lead to problems.
