Looking for software on Ubuntu to check benchmarking stats such as FPS and loss? You might want to try tools like FRAPS or MSI Afterburner with their respective apps or use system monitoring utilities built into Ubuntu.
Hi Harsha, I didn’t locate any current FPS counter. Personally, I used GLXOSD. Keep in mind it might slow things down, though—it’s no longer supported by the team for personal reasons. Still, you might want to give it a shot. You can find downloads and guides here: https://github.com/nickguletskii/GLXOSD. Also, since you’re from India, do you have any suggestions for local stores that sell computer parts? Importing them can really cost a lot of money. @Harsha Varma
The shop seems very limited. It doesn’t have any older cards or CPUs. I’m after a H61M setup. AliExpress isn’t reliable, but I can’t locate anything at MD either.
Consider using the built-in FPS counter tool. Install the Steam app without any game restrictions and turn on the FPS display in your settings. You can manually log the statistics yourself by writing them to a file and analyzing the numbers. No overlay on the screen is needed.
