Hello, I’m planning to buy a few 1 TB SSDs and want them to appear as a single drive on my Windows 10 system. I’ve looked into creating a spanning volume, which seems like the best choice but would require wiping the drives when it’s set up. Can I add another drive later without having to wipe the existing ones? Also, what happens if I reinstall Windows? Would the data still be accessible? After a reinstall, would Windows recognize the spanning volume or need the data moved elsewhere before recreating it? Any suggestions beyond a spanning volume would be really helpful. I just want everything to show together under “My Computer.” Thanks!
Based on what I understand, it seems you're asking about limitations. Generally, you can't, but using a computer doesn't change that. When starting a game, it locates it and launches it regardless.
You haven't tried this before, but you might want to explore RAID configurations, especially RAID 0.
