If I were to sell one of my PCs, I’d need to take everything out and reinstall Windows. This process is simpler now because 8.1 includes this built-in feature. I’m worried it might affect my graphics, audio, LAN drivers, and more—I hope not, since I think I lost the disc with the motherboard.

Reinstalling Windows 8.1 after a full wipe requires updating drivers. Skip using the disc with the motherboard; instead, visit the manufacturer’s site to download the right drivers for your hardware. For the most recent graphics drivers, check the AMD or Nvidia websites.

I believed it would. I’ve frequently faced issues setting up motherboard drivers after downloading them online. I’m hoping this will resolve the problem.

It's a good idea to save your SSD or HDD as a precaution.

It won't happen unless you retain the original recovery partition.

This might cause a problem. You need to back up your data. If you restart your computer after installing a new disk, it won’t delete your existing apps, only the third-party programs.
