I'm thinking about combining two identical RAM modules from the same brand, model, and specifications. Some warn this might lead to compatibility issues. Could this cause silent data loss? For example, losing files without any obvious signs or system crashes. After installing, I'll run stress tests over several days. If the PC remains operational afterward, it's likely the RAM works together. The RAMs are DDR3, 16GB each, totaling 32GB. The model is CML16GX3M2A1600C10.

Sure, just make sure the RAM isn't damaged. You don't have to run it under heavy load for days—your server doesn’t need to be on all the time.

Should I proceed or hold off? I know the RAM won’t work if the modules aren’t compatible, but I’m concerned about passing a stress test yet still failing when used regularly. If I keep the PC running continuously, it might be better to avoid it until I’m sure everything is stable.

The updated release restricts the number of passes it executes. The previous version continues indefinitely without bounds. If the stress test succeeds, can I infer full compatibility between the RAM modules?

It must be the identical collection and from the same manufacturer. Combining RAM from various makers is acceptable. If they don’t match, it won’t function and the system won’t start.
