FPS are likely the most bothersome games to run at 30 frames per second. Clearly, the PC elite are quick to criticize any title hitting 30 FPS, regardless of whether it's an old 1997 release (FF7 PC) or a 2014/2015 title like Tales of Zillia, which was designed specifically for the PS3. The western version is now getting a PC adaptation and a PS4 release. Although they attempted 60 FPS on the second game, it disrupted the balance and overall gameplay because the system's performance is linked to frame rate.
Some games perform well at 30 fps, reminiscent of older titles, while modern games offer a smoother experience at 60 fps. I won’t play on a game meant for consoles but reused for PC, since it ran at 30 fps. What I’m really upset about is a poorly made port that behaves like Arkham Knight upon launch. Linking gameplay to framerate is limiting and lacks adaptability.
They didn't achieve smooth 60 FPS performance, but they improved compatibility for both PS4 and PC, offering extensive video choices for PC that surpass the PS4 experience. Regarding Arkham Knight, it was disappointing, though a final update to make it playable is expected soon. On another note, building a PS3 emulator appears challenging since it runs on a cell processor. I plan to test the one from the PCSX2 team, as I liked the PS2 emulator they created.
