AVs aren't helpful, but you should still install one. Or switch her to Linux. For that social media site and small office, she doesn't require Windows. Ubuntu can handle it just as well.

I have antivirus software installed, so my i7 shouldn’t face any issues from it... it’s safe to have some kind of security layer.

Head over to Ubuntu, she won't mind if you're just browsing. Linux isn't safe from viruses, but common sense remains important. Still, Ubuntu offers a great experience compared to Windows. #LinuxMasterRace
