Hello
I recently purchased a new PC and sometimes it takes longer to boot when I start it. An orange RAM light stays on the motherboard for about 30 seconds before it finishes booting normally. This occurs roughly once a week. Is this typical?

MBD: Asus Tuf Gaming B650 Plus WiFi
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: Asus ProArt 4070 Super
RAM: Kingston Fury DDR5 6000
PSU: Corsair 850w 80+ Gold
SSD: 2TB 980 Pro NVMe
CPU Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 5

Question - Monitor goes black on new pc when playing games So I built a new pc today and everything worked for a few hours but now if I start a game it will work for a few minutes and then my screen goes black saying I lost signal and I have to power off the pc. I have tried to fix it with expo on and off, I have tried to install drivers for... forums. I would check if updating the BIOS helps resolve the issue. To add, can you get into BIOS and see if AMD's E.X.P.O is enabled?

It seems the motherboard didn't accept the RAM configuration and was looking for compatible options. Usually, once a suitable setting is identified, it gets saved in the BIOS. Your motherboard's battery might be faulty, causing settings to reset after power-off. This isn't common since batteries typically last a long time. Have you checked if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date?

I'm trying to refresh the bios files, using two different versions. Is this related to RAM testing or something else? It seems to occur periodically.

Hi, I fixed this problem. The 2x8 pin to 12VHPWR adapter that came with my GPU was faulty, so I swapped it for one from Corsair that connects directly from my PSU to the GPU and it now works perfectly!
