You're experiencing problems with PayDay 2 using just one core, leading to stuttering and other issues. It seems the game isn't handling multi-core properly. Checking your CPU specs might help identify if you need a better processor or settings adjustment.

Open Nvidia Control Panel, select Manage 3D Settings, go to Program Settings, then Payday 2, threaded optimization, and enable it.

Payday presents a unique challenge. It's hard to grasp how the game functions. Macro settings rarely cooperate, hacking tends to cause problems, and so on. Perhaps a fresh install would help? Check for a configuration file and search for terms like "multi-core" or similar.

It would be managed by the nVidia control panel because it is designed to handle nVidia-specific settings and configurations.

Why not just try it? Why bother asking about a solution when you could try it?

Haha, I guess it's odd how this setup appears.

It seems you were wondering about how this feature could benefit games by utilizing multiple CPUs, specifically threads.

It seems the issue isn't resolved yet. I'll check for a restart first. If that doesn't work, I'll attempt a complete reinstall since this has only occurred after the latest update.

Ugh, probably no damage from a nightly reset
