It likely provides a wider view horizontally, covering more of the screen sideways. You’d see additional content to the left and right compared to a single monitor.

In a game, yes. Sometimes the view is limited (as in WOW or Starcraft where you mainly see the battlefield), but in an FPS it displays a bit more on either side.

Check these visuals on two screens. One per job. Two monitors for multitasking tips. One ultra-wide screen for various tasks. Several ultra-wide options available.

It would provide a benefit. In a first-person shooter, seeing enemies on the far left of your screen could help you avoid them when using just one monitor setup.

It's not straightforward. Many titles don't allow it, which makes this remark fitting: I believe it was Tomb Raid, as it pushed the display to an ultrawide screen.

It seems the tool won't apply to every game, especially Tomb Raider. For reference, my previous response wasn't meant for that specific query.

This configuration expands your viewing area, offering better situational awareness in gaming. It also enhances the overall experience. If you're interested, I can share screenshots of titles with a single monitor and multiple monitors tonight. Regarding compatibility, this setup can be challenging. Most games scale well to 5960x1080 when they don’t support native resolution (like Mirror's Edge, which may occupy all three monitors if settings remain unchanged). You’ll likely encounter issues with indie titles, older games, and some newer releases (such as Mass Effect 3).
