I acquired AC4 for free quite some time ago. Recently I began playing again and am stuck on the eighth sequence. The game feels monotonous, repeating the same actions over and over—like tailing people, engaging in battles, and stealing items. These tasks just keep looping after another mission or sequence. There might be only a few memorable characters, but they don’t stand out much. The villains are pretty uninspired. While I understand that AC games often follow similar patterns, I found Brotherhood more engaging. Still, it’s true that most AC titles stick to the same missions and repetitive gameplay. I’m considering giving up on this dull experience and maybe trying the open world instead. Do you think people still enjoy the story in AC games?

It's a continuous cycle of Ubisoft Montreal's misleading statements.

Also worth noting. You begin as a pirate. You eliminate an assassin, grab his gear, and become a deadly assassin overnight—no training, no knowledge of the code, just raw skill. What a shock!

It seems you're referring to a specific AC game, but the details are unclear. Could you clarify what you mean?

I'm curious about how much time this franchise is expected to last.

It's likely they'll expand it further in Montreal, similar to their approach with Watch Dogs.

ACIV is really bad; I paid around £10 and quickly lost interest. ACIII was something I actually liked a bit, but I don’t know why.

I used to really enjoy the AC narrative, playing them on PS3 and collecting all the platinum rewards, secrets, and collectibles. But then Assassin's Creed III arrived... I started feeling a bit worn out from the series because, let's be real, the revelations weren't much and nothing matched up with what came before. AC III was a complete letdown, and I tried to push through just to see how things would unfold. Eventually, I spent two hours on Black Flag. <_< Honestly, I don’t care about the story anymore. Still, I might consider picking up Syndicate if it comes on a good deal—just because it’s finally set in the UK/London scene.

Ac 1 performed well, Ac 2 was superior, AcB was the top choice, AcR was decent, and Ac3 was okay but not great.
