I recall someone mentioning it too—probably when talking about the game Destiny 2. It seems to cause an AVX offset.

I've been using X58 for about 9-10 years, then switched to Z77 for three years before trying AM4. I haven't really experienced an AVX offset in Ryzen's efficient power use; they did a solid job with Zen 3. It's not the best now, but it's still decent.

I believed most Ryzen chips run extremely well at their standard speeds. However, efficiency drops when you raise the core voltage and clock speed, leading to diminishing gains!
