(self-explanatory) My current gaming PC has always run on Windows 10 and because of financial reasons I cannot afford a new PC until January. And for my next PC I'm permanently switching to Bazzite; I already use a MacBook as a personal laptop, there's not much reason left for me to even use Windows at all unless absolutely required by school. Anybody else still using Windows 10? I do because I don't really have much of a choice.

I’m choosing to stay on Windows 10 since it’s already set up and functions well. I might experiment with other modern Windows versions for a while, but it doesn’t seem necessary. All the programs I rely on run smoothly here and should continue to do so for the next few years. I still have some older systems running Windows 7 because it serves a need—either switching to a newer Windows or using Linux.

I own a MacBook Pro as my primary device and occasionally rely on a Windows 11 setup for gaming. However, I could simply change to Linux whenever I want. I’m hoping Valve will soon release a more user-friendly Steam OS that supports more than just the Steam Deck. They mentioned they were developing it previously.

This would be the ultimate window manager, especially if it runs a complete operating system with robust support for many commonly used applications like office tools, photo editing, video playback, browsers, and personalization options.

I didn't plan to rely on anything else... until a better option appears... ¯\

11 has remained the common operating system for about four years now, transitioning a long time ago to the devices I rely on regularly.

Are you considering Windows 11? I’ve often met system requirements by skipping them without much trouble.

Steam runs smoothly on PCs but requires an AMD GPU; stable models demand GPUs around 6000 or 7000. You might want to try NVIDIA, though updating the OS could wipe everything. An M.2 slot works well as Linux, but some games may fail, so a dual-boot setup could be necessary. It seems the current version is more for controllers—other options would need proper Linux configurations. You might also need an extra USB port with Ethernet for stability. I tried to install Windows 11, but I prefer not to use the built-in AI features. It seems the system might still have some of them enabled even after disabling certain settings.
