I face a peculiar issue. Whenever I set any kind of framerate cap—either manually via Nvidia control, through RTSS, or automatically when a game uses Nvidia Reflex—I notice my TV refresh rate becomes unstable (see videos below). This instability leads to significant VRR flicker because the refresh rate keeps changing even though FPS and frame time remain steady.
I’m running out of ideas about what might be causing this. I’ve reinstalled my drivers several times and even performed a fresh Windows installation, but it hasn’t resolved the problem. Of course, turning off V-Sync or G-Sync removes the flicker, but that’s not a complete solution.
What’s unusual is that everything worked fine at the beginning of this year, yet even after rolling back drivers, the issue persisted. I suspect a firmware update for my LG G2 TV might be the cause.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
