Yes, it's Star Citizen!

I’d recommend checking the details of each pledge option carefully before deciding.
The starter pack costs $45 (as of my last check) and includes a ship like Aurora or Mustang plus alpha access and the complete game. Prices and access details might shift, but I’ve been a pledger for about 1.5 to 2 years now.
I didn’t expect to play in 4K, since I own a Samsung 4K TV. I thought it might work, but based on what I’m seeing, it’s probably better to stick with my monitors.
There are several introductory bundles, such as the Aurora MR and the Mustang Alpha. They’re excellent for getting started, offering the game and a ship that may not be top-tier but will get you from point A to B. As you progress, consider exploring the professions you’re interested in and the vessels associated with them. Options include hauling, combat, smuggling, escort, mining—just name your choice!
Ensure it displays well on the 4K screen by running it at 1080p and using effective anti-aliasing.
The package split is already complete. Be aware that Star Citizen’s multiplayer mode won’t feature the standalone game Squadron 42, which adds extra cost. The campaign will still connect to the PU with initial funds, status updates, and NPC interactions, though it isn’t essential. For starting vessels, you can choose between Aurora MR or Mustang Alpha packages—each includes the ship, some in-game currency, a hangar, and a few extras. Most players upgrade from these ships: Aurora MR → Aurora LN (more military focus; versatile), then to Avenger Titan/Variants (improved handling) or TO INFINITY! If you go with Mustang Alpha, proceed to Mustang Beta (exploration-focused camper) → larger exploration craft → Avenger Titan/Variants → TO INFINITY! Basic Common Ship traits are worth noting; some are no longer available but may appear in the mini-PU. Aurora offers single-person multi-role capabilities; Hornet is a lone fighter; Tanks deal damage like Super-Hornet; Mustang handles well. Mustang Delta is a militarized fighter; Avenger Titan/Variants are powerful; M50 is a speedy racing ship with minimal gear; Avenger is agile but fragile; Freelancer is a versatile freighter/camper; Cutlass is a two-person pirate ship; Vanguard is a deep-space fighter without cargo. Sabre is stealth-focused with heavy armor; Constellation is crew-heavy for exploration or hauling; 350R is the fastest racer but less equipped; 350R’s loadout isn’t outstanding. Hope this helps!
Many developers note that current optimization remains limited, resulting in raw test builds. The CPU struggles, often using just one thread while others sit idle, and only 10-20% of GPU power is used. Server-client communication also causes sync problems, as backends sometimes cap client framerates to manage load. Overall, it's still evolving—early builds aren't widely tested by players, and despite the challenges, it's still enjoyable to experiment!
