Tore a 3.6V 80mah NiCd cell today after it failed completely. Safe to swap it for this 3.6V 80mAh (3 cells) 3/B80H Ni-MH unit? The dimensions are 18.5x15.5mm. UPH Battery – restores to 3.6V. PcHub.com offers NiMH spares and replacements since NiCd is outdated and hard to source with those specs. Let me know if you need help!

When voltage remains constant, performance should stay stable. NiCd and NIMH are quite comparable, so they often work well together.

Going alkaline to NIMH or vice versa would cause problems, but here it would resemble the variation between various LiPO batteries.
