Mortar max or the pro 4 maintains a 3-stage 4-phase power design. It offers better value and can manage even an 8-core setup.

Pro4 is actually inferior to the Mortar max. The main reason Pro4 remains a decent choice is its heatsink. Whether it's a non-max or max board, it mainly depends on its age. With a max board, you don't have to worry about this.
