There’s nothing unusual here; it should be okay. In the worst case, the connector handles only the front panel audio jacks, making it clear where a disconnection might occur.

As far as I know that's a 7pin. So if you really want to check the orientation, it might be kind of hard, but you should be able to pull it by wiggling it from side to side why pulling it. Then make sure that you insert back where the 7pins are inserted to the once that has a wire and has a connection.

It seems to look more appealing than your existing backpanel audio connections. I might test it out on my PC, though I’m worried about using a low-cost case.

I just tried it now, and it feels much better. I’m going to keep using it. Also, I’ve already connected everything, so I didn’t have to deal with any extra trouble.
