I don't face any issues purchasing a used CPU; I've sold a few myself too. Just make sure to read the description thoroughly and check the photos before buying. If something doesn't match expectations, you're protected under eBay's buyer policy and should receive a refund.

Also, I've been checking out listings for 3600, 3600X, and 3600XT on eBay this week, but they're still quite expensive. You can usually find new CPUs for less than that price. My suggestion is to wait until tomorrow and look for retailer discounts on the 3000 series during Black Friday—you might get a new one at a similar cost.

I purchased and traded several CPUs on eBay. Ensure the seller maintains a minimum 95% positive rating.

Yes, but at that cost? Not really. Including shipping pushes it close to $200. A brand new unit was $240 and should drop soon with the 5000 series launch. Ignore the 3600x you mentioned—it's even worse, priced at $189 for the non-x version. Better go for a fresh one with warranty and a CPU upgrade instead. What a waste of money!
