You're thinking about a budget-friendly setup that still needs punch. The Ryzen 3600X could work well for your needs, offering solid performance without breaking the bank.

Could you clarify what you're referring to? The purpose of the build isn't clear from your message.

The CPU is quite expensive. Consider the 5600X instead. Using the savings, purchase a 3600MHz RAM and SSD with DRAM. Upgrade to a B550 chipset, which should be only slightly more costly.

A suitable NVMe SSD would be one with high performance and reliability, such as a 256GB or larger capacity model from reputable brands like Samsung, Crucial, or Kingston.

Upgrade your system with a stronger CPU, upgraded motherboard, enhanced RAM, faster SSD, and a modest price increase of $10 to $15. The list includes the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, Noctua cooler, MSI B550M motherboard, G.Skill memory, Crucial SSD, and an EVGA graphics card. Prices reflect current values with shipping and taxes applied. This total was compiled by PCPartPicker on October 18, 2021.

For a fresh build, I can't suggest Zen 2 CPUs anymore. Intel 10th gen offers better value and speed. Zen 3 is significantly faster, while the 10700K is solid at around $299 for eight cores. For a full budget, the 10400 is about $175, and the 10600KF is roughly $199. It's tough to recommend the 5600X or 5800X compared to the 10600KF and 10700KF at today's prices.
