Start with a clean setup. Use the Windows 7 key to create a fresh installation, then follow the prompts to upgrade to Windows 10. If you already have a bootable drive with Win 10, you can boot from it and choose the upgrade option.

It will generate partitions when necessary. A System Reserved partition will be created automatically—ensure all other storage devices are disconnected before proceeding, as Windows may place it on a different drive and link it via software.
