She’s seeking a budget-friendly laptop to enjoy Dragon Age Inquisition on. She’s considering the Asus N550JK with its 768p display, aluminum body, and solid specs like Intel i5 4200H, GTX 850M, and ample RAM. The price range is around $700–750, which seems steep for her needs. MSI isn’t an option here. From what I’ve read, the thermal performance looks decent and benchmarks seem acceptable. The Pentium G3230 + GT640 won’t handle the game well, so upgrading to an i5 would be a big improvement. The graphics card is another point to consider—she needs something capable for smooth gaming. Anyone have insights on this model? She’s looking for a device that balances performance and affordability for her work tasks.
The i5-4200H is a dual-core processor with hyper-threading at 2.8GHz, which means it's not very powerful. The G3258 should handle it, but it probably won't run Dragon Age smoothly—likely not very well at all.
G3230 - not 3258. big difference. DA:I needs a quad core or a chip that acts like one. the i5 should be closer to a desktop i3 and at 768p I thought it would work.
From what I understand, she’d enjoy 30 fps medium more than anything else—among my friends, I’m the only one who’s a 60 fps enthusiast. It should be totally okay for her. I’ll go ahead and approve the order. Thanks!
