I've been saving Windows 10 using the media creation tool because my connection is slow and I want to turn off my PC. Will it pause and resume after I stop the setup?

You need to restart the download process.

I don't agree. The setup closed and halted the download. I removed it before restarting, but it shows a warning asking if you're sure you want to exit so it doesn't proceed.

You'll need to re-download everything. Microsoft's bandwidth affects the speed; I tried it on a 50 Mbps connection, reaching 2% in about 2 minutes, then took 10 minutes after a 30-minute pause. I also tried again on Windows 7.

I've been saving this for 2.5 hours and it's still at 64%—maybe I should restart tomorrow... or keep it running on 7.

It would be wise to keep using Windows 7 for a while, or until the display driver and game problems are fully resolved. I understand Microsoft allocated significant resources for this update, but it seems they didn<|pad|> to handle the workload properly.

Honestly, moving from 7 to 10 feels better. It appears more polished and it produces pleasant sounds when you interact with it. Such a great operating system!

I don't claim it's a great operating system, but I haven't tried it yet. Upgrading would mean losing the software I currently rely on, plus issues with drivers and other problems...

I had second thoughts as well. I'm planning to stick with 7 for a month or two so I can hear what others think first. Let the "early software" stage fade away, and explore the privacy settings to understand which programs I should remove first. EDIT: I might try it early on for my school laptop though.
