I discovered a cable in my home and thought it might be a cable box. I confirmed it was indeed the same. I wanted to find out if I could install a modem for wired internet in our living room without drilling into the walls. Good luck! Do you have any idea?

The device is a cable box for your TV. If you need assistance, simply let me know. Usually the instruction says "cable in."

You can purchase a MoCA adapter and link it to your current router or modem, but after that you won’t be able to install another modem.

It's referred to as coaxial cable. If you're unsure of the correct terminology, people often become mixed up. Typically, each account or home has just one cable modem. You might consider using MOCA as suggested earlier. Ensure a MOCA filter is installed on the main cable entering your residence.

It seems you're checking if it functions without wires. Just confirm if it meets your needs!

Moca utilizes the existing coaxial cable in the walls. One adapter links to the router, the other to any device you wish to connect. It’s important to have a coax connection at every spot. The Moca adapters transform coax into Ethernet.
