Hello! You're starting your PC build journey—great choice. The Biostar B450MHP should work fine with a Ryzen 5 5600 and Radeon RX 6600, but keep in mind it's an older model. If you want better performance or future-proofing, consider upgrading components later.
will be fine, but might need a bios update depending on what chip your brother had in it.
It seems you're checking if the Ryzen 5 2600 is still included in his specifications. Let me know if you'd like help reviewing or updating the details!
Bios updates carry some risks. Should the system lose power or encounter another issue, repairs can become extremely challenging or even unfeasible. The general recommendation is: "If the BIOS functions properly, refrain from updating it."
It's not too hard and definitely not impossible to reflash a bios chip, especially with my ch341a. Just keep in mind it can be a bit more tricky with soldered chips. You just need a soldering iron or two with flat tips. Along with the chip, you'll need a solder wick, flux, solder wire, and paste. If you're working with a B450MHz model, there might be an SPI header above the chip in the PCIe slot—just locate the pinout and use female jumpers along with the ch341a.
