You're planning to purchase your first AMD computer. The motherboard you're considering mentions that some B450 chipset boards need a BIOS update before using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS might require a CPU that works with older BIOS versions. Your CPU choice is the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, and you're looking at the Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) ATX AM4 board. Would it be suitable to buy them together without any issues? Updated May 14, 2020 by Goku1814

While recently produced motherboards come with the latest BIOS, certain older inventory at stores could still have the previous BIOS installed. Contact your supplier to verify the BIOS version and arrange an update if needed. If updating isn't feasible, you can still ask AMD to provide a bootkit using a valid purchase receipt.
