I bought a Rift S today, but it seems my USB 3.0 isn't compatible, so I'm considering getting a PCI-e card for the slot shown in the picture. My main concern is whether this could affect the GPU's cooling or risk damaging the PCIe card because the slot is near the GPU fans. Would this be a problem? If yes, I’m still planning to return the Rift and buy it again later when I have a new PC.

It seems it could work but will fully obstruct the fan on the GPU, potentially leading to overheating and reduced performance

It seems you're reflecting on something you were worried about. Maybe I can help you process it. If you're ready, let's talk about it.

You receive a small card, meaning only half of one fan will be affected—perfectly okay.
