Hello! Your SSD is the Kingston NV2 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe drive. It’s a solid choice for performance and reliability.

it's an affordable SSD, but performance might be limited due to a small bit size, which could affect reliability and speed. in real-world use, it may struggle against a PCIe Gen 3 drive. if you can afford it, investing in a DRAM SSD would offer better speed and stability.

It's accurate, but the specific scenario counts. For applications that read a lot, like loading games, a DRAM cache isn't essential. So for a backup drive, it won't be an issue. However, for boot drives, I fully support it—if you can afford it, a drive with a DRAM cache is beneficial.

However, even for games that load quickly, NV2 isn't ideal—it lags behind most other drives. Still, it works for those on a tighter budget.

Unless DirectStorage becomes available or future titles are built differently from today’s ones, when you load games from a separate storage device, the performance gap between NVMe 1000MB/s and 7000MB/s drives isn’t significant. The real limits shift to other areas like CPU, RAM, and engine capabilities.

It’s hard to tell the difference between SATA and NVMe when you’re starting up or playing games. Focus on actual experiences instead of just numbers.

Dose Dram offers noticeable benefits for everyday use as a boot drive. While it works well with large files like raw 4K video, the main advantages are speed and reliability. The downsides are minimal for regular tasks, but if you rely heavily on frequent data transfers or heavy workloads, you might miss out on those performance gains.

Ryzen 5800X3D (Because who doesn't appreciate a strong performance boost?)
Stack of cache? That sounds impressive!
