I’m planning to assemble a PC soon and noticed the CPU doesn’t come with thermal paste. I have a tube from ThermoPasty, but I’m unsure if it’s suitable. The product listing claims a thermal conductivity of 0.88 W/mK, while some discussions mention values up to 14 W/mK. Given my i5 Raptor Lake 13th-gen CPU and the Deepcool AG620 cooler, should I purchase another paste tube or is the one I have adequate? Also, I’d appreciate recommendations for other thermal paste options. Thanks!

For long-term performance, consider Thermal Grizzly's offerings. Their Kryonaut is designed for overclocking and maintains a temperature of 14.2W/mK, ensuring your CPU stays cool. If you're using a 13600K or higher, upgrading to premium thermal paste would be beneficial, as these processors tend to get very hot—especially the 13900K.

All high-end pastes sit within about a degree or two of one another. The cooler plays a significantly larger role in the cooling process. What the user shared isn’t actually a premium paste.

I don't think wm/k is the ultimate solution, it's just some random marketing fluff. If it matters, then a thermal paste like this would really hurt both mx4 and kryonaut (kryonaut is 12.5wm/k). That's just a cheap 2$ product. Maybe I should check out buying it since the 30 gram tub of gd900 (also 2$) doesn't seem to be the best option. Also, bulk thermal paste is basically junk, only gd900 in bulk is decent but not great compared to mx4, which is outdated—just get mx6 instead.
