I linked the MSI LED strip to my motherboard without an RGB header (H110M-C/PS). The manual says the LEDs run on 12V, and I connected them to the chassis fan port. It’s unclear if the red indicator light is normal at low voltage or if it’s meant for this setup. It seems safe as long as everything fits and operates correctly.

If it isn’t an RBG header, figuring out the connection must be done carefully. For a fan header, it’s likely you’re routing the 12V signal to the correct channel or RGB output. If the light turns red, assume the 12V is going red and ground is properly connected. Mixing wires randomly can cause safety issues and damage components.

But it's not quite working, I'm not sure how to send the picture via the link I made today. It seems simple once connected, but I'm having trouble with the upload. No worries, just trying my best!

It's still not a wise choice. I accidentally fried a strip once by connecting it to a fan header instead of an RGB header.

It's an RGB strip. It features multiple color options for your display.

I was working with a deep cool white strip featuring a PSU connector, but the person I received it from had a different white strip, which made me feel bored since my board didn’t have RGB headers.

if im getting this right you stuck a 12v led strip in a fan header. ok lol sure whatever floats your boat that will probably be fine. red light could just be the voltage its sending out but i mean you aint really changing that are you XD if its working nothings gonna break.
