The safest way would be to buy a new black kit and flip the red one. The chance of damaging the RAM is high.

You're referring to black hoodies... yes, that's what I'm planning to buy from AliExpress. However, I don't have a way to delete the current ones without using a heat gun.

I've used to take off my RAM heatsinks by hand, not with a heat gun. Just be gentle and take your time.

I'm just pulling now, never making any cuts. Typically the pad stays attached to the heat spreader and slides off the RAM, though you should wipe away any leftover bits.
