I have a Windows XP system affected by disk issues and file damage. It runs normally but slows under heavy use. The SFC scan came back clean, so the problem isn’t detected there. Yes, you can reinstall Windows XP on top of what’s already installed to recover files missed by SFC.

Choose between restoring what's there or reinstalling from scratch. Even for older versions, you can preserve your files during a fresh install (something we've done before).
