UEFI allows starting from the Master Boot Record. Make sure the older boot choice is turned on.

I have my justification. I understand dual booting 7 and 10 with GPT works, but I need the 7 installation to be an MBR. I’m aware it’s possible on a signal disk, though I’d rather dual boot from the same SSD so I don’t rely on an old HDD for the operating system.

The choice between SSD and HDD doesn’t affect the installation process (MBR or GPT). It’s interesting to know which program fails with GPT. Are you using a desktop or a laptop?

I understand the issue. The software appears to function only on MBR systems, which might explain why it doesn't work elsewhere.
