I have two levels in my home and I need to widen the Wi-Fi coverage from downstairs to the upper floor. Previously I used two routers but it gets tiring switching networks each time I go up. I searched online and only found information about Wi-Fi extenders, which create a second network. Thank you for your assistance!

Use switches instead of routers. For wireless, install an access point. You can also configure routers as access points, refer to the manual for details.
