There’s no built-in option to bypass the frame rate limit in most apps. You’d need to adjust settings within the game or application itself, such as changing resolution, scaling, or using system-level controls if available.

It relies on the specific game. Usually, you can input settings to adjust the frame rate when launching it, but the options differ widely between titles.

It's not possible to adjust the refresh rate in certain games like Battlefield 4 or 3. Disabling V-Sync can cause tearing, which is a common issue. @WanderAway

Enable V-Sync through your graphics driver settings. Both AMD and nVidia support this feature.

Refresh rate and frame rate are different concepts. Refresh rate refers to the monitor's performance in Hz, typically ranging from 60 to 120Hz. Frame rate corresponds to frames per second (FPS). You can set an application to start at specific Hz if your monitor supports it or if it differs from your desktop. Also, games must support this setting. It is achieved by modifying launch options (such as Steam Properties) similar to how shortcup works. You can find commands online for this process. I don't recall them anymore. FPS limits generally can't be bypassed unless the game developer has permitted it or a mod exists.
