I saw an issue with my 2015 MacBook Pro 15-inch during heavy tasks. When I plug it in, the battery sometimes doesn’t charge for a couple of minutes before showing an orange LED on the charger. The OS says it shouldn’t be charging, but when I switch to lighter activities like YouTube or normal use, it takes only about 5 to 10 seconds. I’m trying to figure out why this happens with my specs—16GB RAM, 1600MHz processor, 85W charger.

It's odd, honestly. I think my 2015 MacBook Pro 13" had the same issue around the same time as yours, but it wasn't overheating. The screen looks damaged, which makes it hard to verify.
