Hi, I recently moved into a new apartment with the WiFi router in the owner's space. The signal quality is poor and speeds are slow. Setting up a personal network isn't permitted, but I'm wondering if it's possible to use a WiFi repeater without an Ethernet cable.

Maybe it works only if the router supports a dedicated 'AP/Repeater/Router' role. In fact, I've only noticed this feature on wireless access points, not routers, but it would be clear if available.

There are no network devices or cables in your apartment, so you likely don’t have an internet connection.

It comes with the rental fee. In Norway, most rentable apartments (apartments within a house) typically include it.

If the unit is in a separate building with a different address, you need your own internet service. In Belgium, the rule is that the building owner must cover the cabling while the tenant handles the internet subscription.
