Hello everyone. Here’s a concise summary: I own an Asus Maximus X Hero with Intel I219-V built-in networking, but it stopped working within a day. Since I’m out of warranty, I can’t replace the board. I have an older Intel E1G44HTBLK I340-T4 from a DIY NAS that I wasn’t using. I’m wondering if switching to this part will improve or hurt my setup, and what the differences are between the two. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

On a standard desktop, it functions properly regardless of the situation.

Despite being older, it remains a Gigabit connection, often offering more capabilities than your standard NIC. Typically, these features arrive before they appear on desktop systems.
