The C2D at 4.4GHz performs similarly to a stock G3258, while an overclocked Xeon would approach an i5 4440. Regardless, an i5 4440 can easily reach its limits with Skyrim, though less often than in FO4.

They say dual cards don’t perform well in Skyrim and often cause lag. Stuttering issues are common. A better option is a more powerful card. Skyrim has endless content, and even with Titan XP it can struggle at high settings.

Hit or miss largely comes down to whether the creator of a particular enb preset tailors it for SLI configurations such as CF. When a dual card arrangement is used, it's a good time. The optimal choice remains the single most powerful GPU.
