The issue seems significant. The device got stuck due to the DP plug, and the connecting finger was damaged. It would be wise to repair it rather than risk further problems.

Aim for a sharper image. Prioritize preventing the pins from touching each other. If you remove the burrs with a knife, and the connector makes contact with parts still linked to the card, there might be a chance to fix it. Wait until you’re absolutely certain no short circuits exist before plugging it back in.

It's worth trying, just be sure to remove any debris from the burs—it really makes a big difference. It might not be perfect, but it could still be effective.

It seems the uncertain connections are pins 6 and 10 returning from the gap. These are likely data lines, not ground pins.
