Hello! The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401QC-BM206 is well-suited for your needs. The Ryzen 7 5800HS handles JavaScript, video editing, and 1080p60 rendering efficiently. With 8GB RAM, you should comfortably manage Photoshop and most games, though upgrading to 16GB would be beneficial if you plan to run multiple applications simultaneously or future-proof your setup. The M.2 SSD and decent GPU also support smooth performance for your listed tasks.

Hello! It seems the chip should work well, but I suggest boosting the RAM, particularly for video editing.

The 8G RAM won't be enough. Regarding the CPU, we provide the developers with laptops featuring 5800H processors, and there have been no complaints about their performance. The team we hired handles large-scale projects effectively.

The 5800h performs well for your tasks, though the 8GB of RAM falls short. The G14 remains a great laptop choice.

I’m planning to purchase this laptop. I’m also considering upgrading it with an additional 8GB of storage to reach a total of 16GB of RAM.

This laptop isn't that straightforward. It features either 8 or 16GB soldered onto the board, plus a single add-in slot. If you choose the 8GB model, you're missing dual-channel support, which is a significant issue for Ryzen processors. I recommend either opting for the 16GB version, getting a second stick right away, or you'll face a substantial performance drop.

I own a 5800H and haven't experimented with video editing yet, but I don't think it's an issue. As long as the software can leverage the GPU for performance, it should work fine for gaming. Consider adding an extra 8GB module—it’s sufficient now, but it may become restrictive if you run multiple applications simultaneously. Dual-channel bandwidth will also boost overall speed. Think about installing another SSD, provided space is available. Starting with 512GB is acceptable, though the games you plan to install will consume a significant portion of it.
