I have the main gaming PC still using Windows 10 version 1809. I want to apply an update but worry it could cause issues like audio or network problems. After installation, can the update be reversed easily? For example, returning to the state before 1809 using a restore point created by Windows itself? Thanks ahead of time.

It seems you're suggesting a manual backup of the system drive is the best approach.
